Taking Action Against Cancer!
I signed up today at work, joining the Newmont team. My immediate thought was to walk in Stephs memory and honor. Then, as I pondered on the opportunity to do this, I began to realize how many people I personally know that have been touched my cancer. I thought of my cousin, Kathy Dorius, who lost her battle with melanoma in July of 2008. I thought about my brother-in-law, Joe, and his amazing kids who lost their mother, Sylvia Ahlberg, to breast cancer in November 2002. My aunt Colleen, who also died of melanoma almost 20 years ago. My aunt Donna who was taken by stomach cancer. And I know I am missing others...
I have friends who have had cancer and beat it! I follow a blog of a 30 year old mother of two young kids who is currently in the middle of her battle with cancer.
I HATE CANCER! I hate that it has taken so many amazing people away from others who dearly loved them. I hate that so many people that I love are hurting by the loss in their life because of cancer. I hate that my sister isn't here to see my little girl.
So I am going to walk in honor of them all.

Bless Our Little Gabbie Grace!

I asked my brother Coray to give Gabbie her blessing. He did a great job. Coray is the only boy out of 7 kids in my family. I have always loved and admired him since I was a little girl. He is an amazing brother and I am so grateful for the impact he has had on my life.
As I sit and hold her during quiet times, I think about what her life holds for her. What will she become? Whose lives will she touch? I know she has such great potential to achieve anything she wants to. I hope that I can be the kind of mother that will be able to support her, encourage her, lead her, and help her be all she can be. I can't wait to be a part of her journey!
Please bless my little Gabbie Grace!
2 Month Check-Up, Shots and All!
Splish, Splash, I Was Taking a Bath!
Gabbie always sticks her tongue out in her bath! She doesn't do it very often any other time, but it instantly comes out during her bath!
Gabbie loves her bath! It doesn't matter if she is hungry, tired, upset tummy, or anything else. Her bath will instantly calm her and put her in a good mood! She gets a serious bath face, shown in the photo above... but we also get a lot of smiles in her bath! She kicks and splashes in her bath already! She will sit in her bath for 30 minutes just chillin out! I haven't let her stay in any longer than that, but I bet she would if I let her!
Here is a little video of her in her bath! Paige was helping me give her the bath, so that is the sweet little voice you hear in the background!
