On may 15, we drove to Utah to celebrate Kiley's mom's retirement party! Vicky has taught school for 36 years! WOW!!!
Vicky has been at Windridge Elementary in Kaysville for the past 14 years, and man, has she made an impact on those kids and their families! The school had a wonderful program and lunch for her, followed by an open house where students and parents could come and wish her well. It was really special to be there with her and see first hand the impact she has had on all these people, both her students and their families! The line didn't stop, they just kept coming and coming! All of them commented on what a wonderful teacher she was and how much their kids loved her! Many of the students made comments on how she not only taught them, but always made them feel very special and loved.
Next to Vicky, the big hit at the festivities was Gabbie! Her students loved seeing her, as they have been hearing about her for sometime now. Vicky made sure that everyone who came to the open house took time to adore her granddaughter, and of course, they all thought she was beautiful! I have to say that Gabbie enjoyed being there as much as Vicky enjoyed having her.
Gabbie is lucky to have such a special Grandma!
