Meeting Great Grandma Goold

Great Grandma Goold & Gabbie

This past weekend we made a trip down to St. George so Gabbie could meet her 97 year old Great Grandma Goold! It was very special trip! Great Grandma thought Gabbie was absolutely adorable, and we agree.

3 Generations! We got some pictures of the 4 generations, but they are still on Vicky's camera. Between Grandma & Gabbie, we didn't bother with trying to take some on both. I will post those later when I get them! They are priceless!

Grandma was always the champion pushing Kiley to date and asking if he had a girlfriend. I think she may be a pivotal player in my meeting Kiley. (Thanks Grandma!) During our trip, she kept saying over and over again, "I never thought I would see this! Never did I think I would see Kiley with a baby!" I think it even shocked her more to see how much Kiley helps with the Gabbie!

It was sure a fun trip! We sure love our Grandma (& Great Grandma) Goold!

Check Out What I Can Do!

Well, Gabbie has mastered it! Yep, she can rollover whenever she wants! Apparently, she wants to a lot. You cannot put her down now without her rolling over to her tummy in about 30 seconds. She has been working on it for a couple of weeks now, and actually done it a time or two. But now, she is the roll over master!

Now, if she could just figure out that arm!

Relay for Life!

On June 6, 2009, I participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life! I had two great friends come out from Salt Lake City and walk with me! It was a great experience!

The relay consists of teams that have at least one team member walking every hour from 4pm to 9am the next day. Yes, this means people are walking all night long. They even had a 2 am dodge ball tournament. I didn't make that.

We got there at the beginning of the walk. The first lap of the walk is for the Cancer Survivors. They all wore purple shirts and took the first lap of the relay. It was really neat to see them all and know that they had beat cancer!

The Survivor Walk

The Survivor Walk was very emotional for me. I stood there cheering them on and thought of my sister. I was so sad that she wasn't able to beat this awful disease. I was standing there next to my good friend whose father lost his battle to colon cancer. I was sad for her and her family too! I thought about Kathy, Colleen, Sylvia and all the others who are affected by cancer. Like I said, it was an emotional event, but I was so grateful to be there!

I am also happy to say that due to great family and friends who donated, I was able to raise $485 dollars! Thank you to everyone who donated!!!

I am definitely going to do it again!

Me, Joelle, Alisa and her daughter Caeley... Thanks guys for coming out!

Caeley and Stella became best friends during this trip! Stella and Dallas both miss Caeley A LOT!

And a Big Thanks to Grandpa Larry!

Well, it has been 7 weeks since I went back to work. In that time, Gabbie has been watched by grandparents and her daddy. Last week was Grandpa Larry's turn and he did a great job! Gabbie sure loves her Grandpa Larry and is lucky enough to see him a lot. In fact, he actually watches her often for Kiley and I so we can run to a movie or dinner. The big bonus with Larry is that he also loves the dogs, so everyone wins! He sure is good to us in so many ways!
THANK YOU LARRY!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Gabbie is so very lucky to have so many grandparents who dearly love her. I will often list with Gabbie all the people who love her... mommy loves her, daddy loves her, grandparents love her, aunts and uncles love her, and the cousin list goes on and on...

Starting this week, it is Mr. Mom full time...Kiley finished school last Friday and now gets to spend his summer days with Gabbie! What a lucky little girl!!

I Can Grab My Toys With My Feet!

I love this little video of Gabbie! She loves to be on her play mat, or poop mat as we call it... this is where we put her every morning after her bottle, and almost always, she poops! Thus the name, the poop mat. But I digress...

She has started to explore things with her feet as well as her hands and mouth. I love how she reaches up with her feet and plays with her toys. She also likes to play with the sink faucet with her feet during her bath. Her two favorite things are to put a foot up against the water, thus spraying everyone and everything in sight, and kicking the faucet away.

Also, you will see that she ALMOST rolls over. She does this all the time... almost gets there, and rolls back. However, she has rolled over 3 times! And when she does, she can actually get her arm free and start playing on her tummy. Is she talented or what?

Hanging on dad's shoulders...

and exploring dad's head with her mouth!

She is really growing up fast! It is so fun to watch her explore and learn on a daily basis!
