Big Thanks to my Mom & Dad!

A big THANKS! to my mom and dad for spending the past 2 weeks here in Spring Creek watching Gabbie! It was so enjoyable having them here and having the piece of mind that Gabbie is not only being watched, but oh so loved!

My mom & dad have always been so incredibly generous to all of us kids. I am truly blessed! Thank you!! We love you!!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Gabbie attended her first baseball game last weekend! We were out in Utah for a couple of days over the Memorial Holiday. What better way to celebrate Memorial Day than a baseball game?

So off to Sid's game we went! Gabbie enjoyed being outside and seeing everything going on.

Mostly, she liked hanging with her cousin, Kelsey!

36 Years Celebrated!

On may 15, we drove to Utah to celebrate Kiley's mom's retirement party! Vicky has taught school for 36 years! WOW!!!

Vicky has been at Windridge Elementary in Kaysville for the past 14 years, and man, has she made an impact on those kids and their families! The school had a wonderful program and lunch for her, followed by an open house where students and parents could come and wish her well. It was really special to be there with her and see first hand the impact she has had on all these people, both her students and their families! The line didn't stop, they just kept coming and coming! All of them commented on what a wonderful teacher she was and how much their kids loved her! Many of the students made comments on how she not only taught them, but always made them feel very special and loved.

Next to Vicky, the big hit at the festivities was Gabbie! Her students loved seeing her, as they have been hearing about her for sometime now. Vicky made sure that everyone who came to the open house took time to adore her granddaughter, and of course, they all thought she was beautiful! I have to say that Gabbie enjoyed being there as much as Vicky enjoyed having her.
Gabbie is lucky to have such a special Grandma!

Big Thanks to Grandma Vicky and Grandpa Charles!

They had dinner ready every night when I got home! Man, I could get use to this!
Also, you may notice "Her Highness" in her thrown. Gabbie loves to be in the middle of what is going on, so we got out her bumbo and put it on the table for her while we ate! She was so good and content we all got to enjoy our dinner before she would get fussy!
Truly, she is just too cute!!
Grandma Vicky and Grandpa Charles have been out the past two weeks to watch Gabbie with my return to work. We thoroughly enjoyed having them here! Gabbie also loved having them here. I would call during the day to see how things were going, and the update always included how much they just played and played!

Kiley and I got spoiled as well, as you can see from above! I suspect that Grandma Vicky also had a great time! I think she may like this little granddaughter of hers, just a little anyway!

Thank you, Vicky & Charles! We sure appreciate you taking the time to come out and help! You were wonderful and are welcome back whenever you want to come!

Back to Work!

Well, I have been back to work since April 15. The week before I went back, I was a wreck! I cried everyday. I had a number of "discussions" with Gabbie and stressed with her that just because Mommy is going back to work doesn't mean I don't love her.
This was my door when I returned to work. The gals at work would print out the pics I sent them and post them on my door. It was so fun to see this as I opened my office on my return! I am so lucky to work with great people who are also my very good friends. They are so excited about Gabbie and let me talk about her all the time!

Kiley had her the first two days and then Grandma Vicky and Grandpa Charles had her for the next two weeks. Grandpa Larry also helped out this last Thursday. We also have Grandma Dianne and Papa Chuck on the schedule coming up here, with Papa Larry taking a week as well. I cannot tell you how much easier it has been to go back knowing that Gabbie was with people that adore her. She has done great. Kiley kept reassuring me that he and Gabbie would be fine. I kept telling him it wasn't them I was worried about, it was me. I have actually done better than I thought I would. It has helped a ton that Gabbie has been sleeping through the night for about a month now. Getting up at 4:15 is hard enough! Man, she is good to her mommy! I miss her like crazy, but am grateful to have such wonderful family help out in watching her.

As most of you know, I am a recruiter for a gold mine, Newmont. With the economy, we have very few positions open, resulting in a light load at work. As a result, I have been asked to help out another department in Human Resources. As of June, I will be assisting our Talent Management team with our performance management process. I am very excited about my new opportunity. It will give me some development in areas that are new to me and keep me busy! I do much better busy! At this time, it is a temporary assignment until December. I am very grateful to have a good job with great co-workers and one that provides my family such great benefits!
